Pattern Making
These photos were taken during my sophomore‑year Patternmaking course at Iowa State University, where I learned the full foundations of flat pattern drafting. Throughout the class, I created a complete set of size‑12 slopers—including bodice, sleeve, skirt, and pant—and learned how to manipulate each block into new silhouettes and design variations.
This course strengthened my understanding of accurate measuring, precision, and overall pattern neatness, all of which are essential for producing clean, professional patterns. It also gave me the technical confidence to transform flat patterns into any design I envisioned.
